Clas Ohlson about the original business concept

1. A workshop in Insjön

   Clas Ohlson founded the company Clas Ohlson & Co in Insjön, Dalarna, in 1918. What began as a bicycle repair shop quickly developed into one of Sweden's largest mail-order companies.

2. Furnishing modern Sweden

   Among other things, Clas Ohlson helped to furnish modern Sweden with furniture plans that sold in their hundreds of thousands.

   

3. Beyond Insjön

   The first store outside Insjön opened in 1989.

4. Hundreds of stores, multiple markets

   Since then, Clas Ohlson has established hundreds of stores in multiple markets and online sales across the Nordics, as well as other European markets via subsidiaries.
